Early Morning Random Thoughts
- It's been a long time since I've posted anything. I guess I'm just not much of a blogger. (side note: as is habit, I sound things out in my head before typing them. I'm not sure why my inner voice sounds like Christopher Walken right now)
- I have a new job. It's better than my old job. After working in one place for 18 years, it feels funny to be a job-jumper.
- My new job has me working nights again. I like nights. But the alone in a cubicle overnight thing is a little creepy.
- I want to get excited about Obama like some people claim to be, but I just can't.
- I feel the same way about My Name Is Earl. Sorry Jason Lee....Earl In Jail = Jump The Shark.
- I know it's set up so that you relate to Jim, but if I was a 'The Office' character I would probably closer to Toby.
- I was either gonna stop here, or this will possibly be a long list.
- I'm really loving playing in a local cover band. I still haven't figured out the banter part.
- I went about 15 lunches in the row at work having the McD's double filet o' fish (the o makes it fun) meal. And I don't really feel bad about it. I kind of wish I could go get one right now.
- I'm convinced my fast food options are limited without the availability of Sonic or Jack-in-the-Box locally. I'm not sure if we have a Red Robin anywhere nearby. yummmm.
- I can't figure out what my radio station is. I want to be a Current person, but they play stretches where I'm completely underwhelmed. Cities97 is heading for the stale territory of KQ. 93X plays too much of the cookie-cutter, drop-D tuned, gravelly-voiced thumping. Jack tempts me with the 80's, but then kills it with some recent pop crap. Thankful for my ipod.
- I'm getting another stupid cold. Right when this over-long winter is ending. gah.
- I picked yet another stinker of a bookclub book. And I had two other ideas that would have probably been tons better. I am bookcursed.
- I'm afraid of being way out of shape. When spring finally decides to stick around, me and the family will probably start some bike riding. It will be painful at first, but I really need it.
- speaking of painful. I played basketball recently for the first time in 12 years. Was fun while it was happening, not so much the following week.
- It's almost May, and I like May a lot. Being outside more, looking forward to Memorial weekend, my wife's b-day (she has a better birthday than me. the end of May is perfect birthday season.) and start of softball season.
- that's about it for now. Maybe I will think of something else in the next few months.

I think there is a Red Robbin somewhere in Minnesota. Possibly, Apple Valley, but that's almost Iowa.
